  • Blue Energy has a 100% interest in four recently granted exploration permits in the Cooper/Eromanga Basin area of Western Queensland.

The area of the Cooper basin where these permits are located represents the Northern flank of the Cooper Basin, and as such could be viewed as an analogue of the Western Flank in the South Australian sector where there has been impressive success in the finding and production of oil in the Eromanga Basin sequence.

The concept of an oil prone basin margin opportunity in this area is bolstered by the existing oil producing fields adjacent to the Blue Energy acreage at Cook, Cuisiener and Inland oil fields.

Additional prospectivity is being established through other operator's drilling activity nearby.  A basin centred gas play is being established to the immediate south of Blue Energy's ATP657 permit.
